Hey Beautiful! Welcome to the venting section!
First of all, I hope you are doing well. If not, this page is dedicated to you and others needing to let it out (aka venting). You are more than welcome to dump any emotions or to vent in the comment section below, and thus, without being judged. I will explain more, but first, I believe it would make sense to define the word “venting.”
As per the Merriam-Webster, venting is defined as “to relieve oneself by venting something (such as anger)” or as “to give often vigorous or emotional expression to (someone)“
Sometimes, we may find ourselves very lonely during difficult times. If not, sometimes we are afraid to overwhelm our surroundings with our issues. I’ve been there before. There was a time when I kept disclosing everything and needed emotional support as I struggled through my problems and found myself lonely or feeling that my loved ones were tired. Although my friends and family claimed to want to be there for me and encouraged me to talk, I was too embarrassed and ended up journaling or in between therapy sessions.
If this sounds familiar to you, then, as stated before, this page is for you. Below is a comment section where you can post anonymously or with a fictional name just to let it all out. Carrying a lot of baggage can become overwhelming, and although I am not a therapist, I know that venting can make one feel better about themselves.
According to Kennedy-Moore, E. & Watson, J. C. (1999), who reviewed the empirical studies on the “venting hypothesis,” concluded that expressing emotions, whether sadness or anger, can make one feel relieved.
Hence, this is your emotional dump, where you can leave everything in the comment section to feel better. Furthermore, you can also read about other people’s hardships and notice that you are not alone in this self-love and healing journey.
All I ask is that you all remain respectful to one another and try to empower each other. I’ll reply to your comments and support you as much as possible.
Once you vent everything, it is up to you to make the rulings of your life and decide which way to take; being a victim or a survivor. I trust you will make the right decision. 🙂
Take care of yourselves.
That said, VENT AWAY!
